Forget Carpaccio….Makoto is the new Bal Harbour Spot!!

On a recent Thursday night I decide to pop into the newly opened Makoto restaurant in my favorite place, The Bal Harbour Shops. I was pleasantly surprised to see such a packed and young crowd. Considering its summer in Miami…this place was hopping!!

With dark wood, low lights and super high cielings….the space feels sleek and glamorous. The outdoor space was personally my favorite. Nestled in the palm trees with bamboo furniture and a great view of the Bal Harbour parking lot (somehow fancy cars and goodlooking people never gets old).

From the same owners as Steak 954 in Fort Lauderdale and Buddakan in Manhattan, Makoto is a winner. This may be my new favorite sushi spot. The lobster maki is so fresh and out of this world.
