A Hidden Gem in South Beach….
I am a serious lover of Italian food….I could eat it everyday except for the fact that I would probably weigh 6000 pounds. I love me a good bowl of penne alla vodka and chicken parm.
Something I miss about New York is all the little restaurants you can wander into and get the best meal you have ever had. Miami is more manistream. However….there are a few hidden gems if you look in the right places. Located on 5th and Washington, La Locanda is probably one of my favorite Italian restaurants ever. With white table cloths, exposed brick, and tons of candles….the space is very romantic. This is the perfect place for a 1st date.
The owner who is there every night is the perfect host. The vibe and energy is always amazing and fun. On a nice night which is basically every night in South Beach…the outdoor seating on the street is relaxing and nice.
If you love penne alla vodka as much as I do, this is probably in my top 5.
